150 tonnes of Hilsha fish fry seized

A mobile court of the Chittagong district administration seized 150 tonnes of Hilsha fish fry (Jatka) from three fishing vessels in the Karnaphuli River from Wednesday night to yesterday.

The court conducted a drive near Sadarghat area where fishing vessels unload their catch and seized around 50 tonnes of Hilsha fish fry from fishing vessel Naz Moin, 30 tonnes from Reliance-1 and 70 tonnes from Sania-2.

A team of Rab-7 and coast guard assisted the drive.
