US comedian Charles Burks enchanted a houseful of audience with his ingenious skills of stand-up comedy at Baridhara Convention Centre on September 26 and 27 evenings.  Naveed's Comdey Club arranged a standup comedy show featuring the New York-based comedian to give a 300-strong Dhaka audience consisting all age groups, a new experience.

Charles Burks, Naveed Mahbub and Ashiq Ahmed were the performers at the event. Naveed opened the show with his humorous storytelling. He talked about family, health, Bangladesh's overall comedy scene and made fun of different aspects of staying abroad, corporate culture and some other topics.

Charles Burks made the audience laugh out loud with stories about his family, children and a wide range of topics which Bangladeshi audience can relate to. He also described his experience at the Dhaka airport.

About the show, Charles Burks said that it was an amazing experience for him to perform in front of a lively audience. People in Dhaka respect him and they greeted him warmly.

Soon after the event ended, the audience praised the efforts of the comedians with a big round of applause. Appreciation and message of gratitude were also posted on the event's Facebook page. Many of the audience also called and text messaged Naveed to thank him for the two-hour show.
