CHARLES BUKOWSKI
August 16, 1920 – March 9, 1994
Celebrated German-born American poet, novelist and short story writer Charles Bukowski's work addresses the ordinary lives of underprivileged Americans, the act of writing, alcoholism, relationships with women, and the drudgery of work. He wrote thousands of poems, hundreds of short stories and six novels, eventually publishing over sixty books.
"Genius might
be the ability to say
a profound thing
I would be married, but I'd
have no wife, I would be
married to a single life.
I don't like jail, they got the
wrong kind of bars in there.
Bad taste creates many
more millionaires than
good taste."
in a simple way.
