Charge framing hearing against Fakhrul, 40 others March 12

A Dhaka court yesterday fixed March 12 next year for hearing charge framing against BNP leaders Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Moudud Ahmed, Mirza Abbas and 38 others in a case filed on charges of assaulting police and blasting bombs on Bailey Road in the capital during the opposition's agitation programme on March 2 last year.

The court passed the order after lawyers of  Moudud, Abbas and Sadeque Hossain Khoka, submitted three petitions seeking an adjournment of the hearing.   

BNP leaders Fakhrul, Abdullah Al Noman, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Barkat Ullah Bulu and 34 others, now on bail, were present in the court while Moudud, Khoka and Abbas remained absent yesterday.
