First ever digital challenge on peace held
Democracy International and Prenerur Lab initiated the project 'Tech for Peace' to bring youth innovations to solve social problems with technology solutions. Democracy International Chief of Party Katie Croake was the chief guest at the final round held at Edward M Kennedy Centre in Dhanmondi in the capital on Thursday night. 'Tech for Peace' is a youth oriented initiative which initially started in five universities of Bangladesh where students involved by performing at boot camps and hack days to build a youth network of technology inclined students to encourage peace building in youth communities. This event marked the contest for selected fourteen teams from those five universities including University of Dhaka, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, North South University, Brac University and United International University.
