In-Person classes and exams of NSU resumed
The first private university of Bangladesh, North South University (NSU) resumes all in-Person classes and exams after two years of online classes for the COVID-19 pandemic.
Students are allowed to enter the university following all health and safety guidelines, including body temperature measurement at NSU entrance. Students can attend classes on campus maintaining health and safety guidelines properly. They are excited to be back in classes after a long time.
Like all other educational institutions in the country, NSU was shut in March 2020 to curb the spread of novel coronavirus. However, with the successful launch of online class activities since the onset of the Corona Pandemic, NSU successfully completed all semesters on time. In compliance with the government's decision, the decision to conduct in-person classes and exams was taken at the syndicate meeting of the university.
NSU's campus gets back life with the gathering of the students. After a long time, with the opening of the campus, students showed their cheerful presence in the university library, cafeteria and games room.
Professor Dr M. Ismail Hossain, Pro Vice-Chancellor of North South University said at the end of visiting a number of classrooms, 'It is so pleasing to see students come back after 2 years of emptiness. The Board of Trustees and NSU Senior management are delighted to welcome back students.'
The Cine & Drama Club of North South University hosted a flash move and cultural event at the NSU Plaza area.
Among others, Prof. Dr Javed Bari, Dean, School of Engineering & Physical Sciences, NSU, Prof. Dr Hasan Mahmud Reza, Dean, School of Health & Life Sciences, NSU, Prof. Dr Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Dean, School of Business & Economics, NSU, Mr Jamil Ahmed, TV Presenter & Director - Public Relations Office, NSU, Directors of various departments, Department Heads, senior officials, faculties and students were also present at the program.
