NSU signs MoU with Laurentian University
North South University (NSU) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Laurentian University, Canada to operate a series of programmes for the benefit of students.
NSU Vice Chancellor Prof Atiqul Islam and Dr Serge Demers, associate vice president of Laurentian University, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective sides at a programme held at the NSU campus on November 20, said a press release.
The purpose of this MoU is to develop academic and research cooperation and to promote mutual understanding between the two educational institutions. It will also help the students to transfer their credits.
From NSU, Dr M Ismail Hossain, pro-vice chancellor; Prof Helal Ahammad, dean of School of Business and Economics; Prof Hasan Mahmud Reza, dean of School of Health and Life Sciences; Prof Abdur Rob Khan, dean of School of Humanities and Social Sciences; Dr Ahmed Tazmeen, registrar; Dr Norman K Swazo, director of Office of Research; Dr Katherine Li, director of External Affairs; and Jamil Ahmed, director of Public Relations Office, were present at the programme.
Dr Krishna S Challagulla, associate professor of mechanical engineering; Sujoy Pritam, in-country representative (Bangladesh), International Recruitment; and Khandoker Sumaiya Samah, international recruitment assistant (Bangladesh), were also present.
Angela Dark, senior trade commissioner, High Commission of Canada, was invited to this occasion.
