NSU organises seminar on breast cancer awareness

North South University (NSU) Public Health and Sciences Club, in collaboration with Evercare Hospital Dhaka, organised a seminar on breast cancer awareness and management on October 31 at its premises, said a press release.

Chairman of the Department of Public Health Dr Mohammad Delwer Hossain Hawlader delivered welcome speech.

Prof SM Abu Zafar, senior consultant and coordinator, general and laparoscopic surgery of Evercare Hospital Dhaka, presented the keynote paper.

Another expert speaker was Dr Biswajit Bhattacharjee, senior consultant and coordinator, radiation oncology of Evercare Hospital Dhaka.

Dr Hasan Mahmud Reza, dean of School of Health and Life Sciences at NSU, was present as special guest, while Dr Arif Mahmud, director, medical services of Evercare Hospital, attended as the chief guest at the seminar.

Besides, Prof Md Ismail Hossain, pro-vice chancellor of NSU; and Dr Azaz Bin Sharif, the faculty advisor at NSU PHSC, spoke on the occasion.
