New Brac Kumon Center inaugurated in Mirpur
The new Brac Kumon Center was inaugurated in Mirpur on April 2. The centre will be open for children 3 to 16-year-olds.
Lady Syeda Sarwat Abed, managing director, Brac Kumon Limited, was present as the chief guest at the inauguration programme, said a press release.
To bring the benefits of Kumon to every child in the country, Brac Kumon Limited is working in collaboration with Kumon to open more Kumon centres across Dhaka.
Inspired by the success of her child, Sumaiya Farzana Quaderi brought the Japanese Education Center - Kumon for the children of Mirpur.
In 2017, Late Sir Fazle Hasan Abed, KCMG, the founder and chairperson of Brac, introduced this Japanese educational programme in Bangladesh.
Invented by Japanese Mathematics Teacher Toru Kumon, The Kumon method is helping over 4 million children in 59 countries for over 67 years to enhance their Mathematics and Language skills.
