Country's First-Ever Marketing Olympiad to be Organised by Bangladesh Brand Forum
Bangladesh Brand Forum has inaugurated the country's first-ever, Walton Presents Marketing Olympiad Powered by American International University-Bangladesh, in association with The Daily Star and in Partnership with International Advertising Association - Bangladesh & Asia Marketing Federation from May 15 to May 27, 2023.
Registration for the most prestigious competition for marketing students and aspirants in Bangladesh started on May 8. Registrations will end on May 14.
The Olympiad will be conducted in different stages and rounds to examine the true knowledge and potential of emerging marketers. Initially, after the registration, the first round will take place between May 15- May 17. The top 1000 participants will be shortlisted for the second round of the competition. In the second round, to be held on May 20, the top 100 participants will be shortlisted for the next round of the competition. However, the top 100 Participants will get an opportunity to attend Marketing Olympiad day-long Bootcamp on May 23, where they will be learning presentation grooming, voice coaching, case brief, report preparation & marketing-based theories, and applications. The top 100 participants will attend round 3 on May 24. Finally, the top 15 Participants will go through an eccentric gala round of the Bangladesh Marketing Olympiad on May 27. The Winners will be declared through an extensive buzzer round.
Bangladesh Marketing Olympiad has been initiated to create awareness and curiosity about sustainable and responsible marketing practices among the youth. The Olympiad aims to inform students about the fast-changing arena of business and how marketing can contribute to running a successful business. It also aims to showcase inspiring marketing case studies from all over Asia to connect and engage students to solve social problems.
Shariful Islam, Founder and Managing Director of Bangladesh Brand Forum, regarding the first-ever marketing Olympiad, said, "Students need to practice and exercise marketing in addition to their academic knowledge. This initiative will set a new trend and allow emerging marketers to think critically and adopt more sustainable solutions to any problem."
The champion of the marketing Olympiad will get a Prize money of BDT 100,000. Following the champion, the first and second runner-ups will get prize money of BDT 75,000 and 50,000 respectively. Additionally, the top 10 finalists will get exciting gifts.
The Olympiad has been designed to engage students to share knowledge among themselves, learn effectively, and strengthen their decision-making ability in critical situations.
