Annual Inter-school Literature Festival held at St. Joseph International School

St. Joseph International School celebrated Annual Interschool Literature Festival from February 16-18, 2023. The festival was a platform for students from grades 3 to 12 to showcase their literary talents and creativity in various exciting competitions. It was a celebration of literature, the arts, and the power of the written and spoken word.
The festival featured four groups, with Group A for grades 3 and 4, Group B for grades 5 and 6, Group C for grades 7, 8, and 9, and Group D for grades 10, 11, and 12. Each group participated in a range of competitions designed to bring out the best in their literary abilities. Competitions included Storytelling in both English and Bangla, YouTube Content Creation in both English and Bangla, Extempore in English, Spelling Bee in English, Poem Recitation in both English and Bangla, Single Drama in both English and Bangla, Essay Writing in both English and Bangla, Pop Art Sculpture/Painting Competition, Short Film in English, Poster Design and Presentation in English, and a Literature-Based Quiz in English.
The festival provided students with the opportunity to showcase their skills, interact with peers from other schools, and gain exposure to new ideas and cultures. It also offered a chance for students to express their love for reading, writing, and the spoken word, and to share their passion for literature. Through participating in the festival, students could develop their skills in communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving, while also expanding their knowledge of the world around them.
The festival was not just an opportunity for students to compete and have fun, but it also provided a space for learning and growth. The festival's keynote speakers, judges, and mentors will offer insight, guidance, and inspiration to students, helping them to develop their skills and reach their full potential.
To make the festival even more special, St. Joseph International School invited some esteemed guests to participate in the inauguration of the program on Thursday, February 16th at 11:00am. The festival had also been graced by the presence of Father Patrick Daniel Gaffney, CSC, Vice-chancellor, Notre Dame University on the opening ceremony and His Excellency the British High Commissioner, Robert Chatterton Dickson, who was present at the closing ceremony on Saturday, February 18th at 6:00pm. The closing ceremony will be followed by a concert performed by Artcel and Rafa, bringing the festival to a close in style.
