Nine-day Eid holiday for stock market
Trading and official activities of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) will remain closed for nine days from May 31 to June 8 marking Eid-ul-Fitr.
Of the days, May 31 and June 1 are closed on being the weekend, June 2 is closed marking Lailatul Qadr, which will be followed by the government declared holiday for Eid-ul-Fitr from June 4 to June 8.
The DSE board decided to declare June 3 a holiday to keep the vacation uninterrupted.
Olympic Industries to purchase land
Olympic Industries, listed in the stock exchange, is going to purchase 12.83 decimals of land worth Tk 42.98 lakh in Narayanganj.
Besides, it will spend another Tk. 5.59 lakh in associated registration fees and miscellaneous expenses.
The company made the information public through the DSE website yesterday.
