India’s May trade deficit widens to $15.36b
India’s trade deficit widened to $15.36 billion in May from a year ago, the trade ministry said in a statement on Friday.
Trade deficit stood at $14.62 billion in May 2018.
Merchandise exports grew nearly 4 percent to $29.99 billion last month compared with a year earlier, while imports were up 4.3 percent at $45.35 billion, data showed.
