BUTEX’s Sadman Sakib becomes Textile Talent Hunt champion
Md Sadman Sakib of the Bangladesh University of Textile (BUTEX) became the champion in the seventh episode of the Textile Talent Hunt (TTH) for developing a tracking system in garment production.
Sakib was awarded prize money of Tk 100,000 for his innovation.
Md Tanvir Hossain, also from BUTEX, bagged the first runner up award and received Tk 75,000 while Tanvir Hossain from Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (DUET) became runner up and received Tk 50,000.
Mushfiq Ahmed from Textile Engineering College from Zorargonj in Chittagong stood fourth and received Tk40,000 while Md Eakub Hossen Hridoy from Sheikh Kamal Textile Engineering College stood fifth and received Tk30,000 for his achievement.
The Textile Today, a magazine dedicated to the textile and fashion industry, organised the seventh version of the grand finale was held at AG Conference Hall in Dhaka on March 30.
In the grand finale, the top five talents were selected from 1214 contestants across the country who showcased their innovative projects, according to a statement from Textile Today.
