BTRC to conduct mobile services quality check
Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) will conduct a six-month drive test in 300 upazilas across the country to measure the quality of services of the mobile operators.
Shyam Sunder Sikder, chairman of the BTRC, inaugurated the drive at the commission conference room today.
"All kinds of technical measures will be taken to improve the quality of customer service for mobile subscribers," said Sikder.
According to the policy of the BTRC, call success rate should be 97 percent or more, call drop should be less than 2 percent and call setup time should be completed within 7 seconds.
Besides, the minimum speed of 3G data should be 2 Mbps and the minimum speed of 4G data is 7 Mbps.
Operators will be notified if they can't meet the service quality standard set by the commission.
