BSF returns three Jamaat, BNP men of Patgram to BGB
Indian Border Security Force (BSF) on Wednesday night held three Bangladeshi intruders, including two activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and another of BNP, near the border area and handed them over to Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) at Kuchlibari camp in Patgram upazila under Lalmonirhat district yesterday.
The arrestees -- Abdul Jabbar, 40, Nizam Uddin, 34, and Bangtu Miah, 48, all residents of Jamgram village in Bawra union of Patgram upazila, will soon be handed over to Patgram police station after primary interrogation at BGB camp, said Subedar Abdul Quader, camp commander of Kuchlibari BGB company under 7 BGB Battalion.
Abdul Jabbar is a member of Bawra union unit of Jamaat-e-Islami and Nizam Uddin is a supporter of the organisation, said Bawra union unit Jamaat secretary Mawlana Zakir Hossain.

The three men fled to India to evade arrest by joint forces in the village at around 11:00pm on Wednesday, said BGB, police and locals.
Patrolling BSF men of BRK Bari camp at Mekhliganj thana of Kuchbihar district in India arrested them on the border the same night and handed them over to BGB at Kuchlibari camp in Patgram upazila yesterday afternoon.
The three were involved in acts of violence and sabotage in Bawra area during the countrywide blockades sponsored by BNP-Jamaat led 18-party alliance, and they went into hiding after deployment of joint forces in the area, locals said.
