BSF man killed in clash with smugglers
Two persons including a member of Border Security Force were killed and 10 injured in a clash between the border guards and alleged smugglers at South Ramnagar in northeastern Indian state of Tripura Friday night.
The clash ensued when BSF troops chased a group of smugglers during a routine patrol in the area, Deputy Inspector General of BSF BS Rawat was quoted by Indian media as saying.
A BSF member is among the injured, reports our New Delhi correspondent.
The smugglers also tried to snatch the weapon from the dead border guards, BSF claimed.
