Big B cycles down Kolkata street

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan was back to the city from where he started his celluloid journey, riding a bicycle past the iconic Writers' Building in Kolkata.

Wearing a loose cap, which covered part of his bearded face and with a pot belly, Bachchan was shooting for Shoojit Sircar's upcoming flim “Piku” which explores father-daughter relationship. While Amitabh Bachchan will play the role of the father while Deepika Padukone, who will be teaming up with him for the second time after “Aarakshan”, will essay the role of his daughter.

Amitabh Bachchan had migrated to Kolkata in search of a job in the early 1960s and survived on a salary of 500 rupess by working for a private company.

He wrote on Twitter: “Too many memories flashing by as the drive from the airport ends … but so much more to come in the days ahead.”
