BD suffer narrow loss
Bangladesh men's archery team suffered a narrow defeat against Russia in the Recurve quarterfinal of the First Asian Archery Grand Prix 2014 in Bangkok yesterday.
Bangladesh -- comprising archers Ruman Sana, Emdadul Haque Milon and Sojib Sheikh -- came from two sets down to level the margin 2-2 against Russia and the match rolled into the tiebreaker where Bangladesh with three arrows scored 26 but that was not enough to see off Russia, who scored 27 to move into the semifinals.
Meanwhile, the women's team suffered a massive 6-0 defeat to Japan in the quarterfinal.
