3 killed in Bhola road accident

Three autorickshaw passengers were killed today as a bus hit two three-wheelers on a highway in Ghuingarhat area of Bhola's Charfashion upazila.

Five more people were seriously injured in the accident that took place around 2:00 pm today, reports our Barishal correspondent quoting locals and police.

The deceased were identified as Sohag (35), Aziz (30) and Siraj (25).

The injured, all residents of Bhola Sadar upazila were admitted at Bhola General Hospital.

The bus coming from the opposite direction hit two auto-rickshaws, killing the three on the spot.

The bus was seized but the driver escaped. Meanwhile, an angry mob blocked the Charfashion-Bhola regional road for at least an hour. Police later took control of the situation, Bhola Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Enayet Hossain said.
