Awami League today claimed six of its activists were killed by opposition BNP men during the period of election campaign across the country.

“The BNP men attacked and injured 445 of our men and vandalised 174 of our election camps,” Jahangir Kabir Nanak, joint general secretary of the party, said.

“We urge the policemen to arrest these hoodlums,” Nanak said while speaking at a press conference at Awami League president Sheikh Hasina’s office.

The briefing came on the day after the close of election campaigning by aspirants, two days ahead of the 11th parliamentary election of Bangladesh.
