2018 polls a black chapter in history: Islami Andolon Bangladesh

The 2018 general elections will remain as a “black chapter” in the history of Bangladesh, Islami Andolon Bangladesh said in a press release today.

The “mockery” that took place all over the country in the name of elections today has raised serious concern about the future of the nation, said the press release undersigned by the party’s Joint Secretary General ATM Hemayet Uddin.

The party whose candidates are contesting under the ‘Hand fan’ symbol also alleged that all their agents were forcefully removed from the polling stations. And later, the ruling party men indiscriminately stuffed ballot papers in favour of their candidate, Hemayet Uddin claimed.

“Even before the elections started the ruling party men had stuffed ballot boxes,” the leader said adding, “It was a massive festival of vote rigging”.
