Two held over Tangail 'rape'
Police on Thursday night arrested two people in a case filed in connection with a rape incident in Tangail's Gopalpur upazila.
The victim's mother lodged the case with Gopalpur Police Station in the afternoon accusing three people after over two months of her 11-year-old girl rape.
Gopalpur police arrested one of the rape suspects Majnu Miah and their accomplice Joshna Begum, of Uttar Pathalia village. Other accused Sohag Miah, of the same village, is on the run.
In the case statement, the plaintiff said her fourth-grader daughter went to a neighbour house on April 16 to take milk they kept in the refrigerator of the house, police said.
