Four jailed, one fined for illegally running brick kilns in Ctg

A mobile court in Chittagong yesterday sentenced four brick kilns' managers to two months' imprisonment each for running the kilns in Rangunia upazila without licence from the Department of Environment or district administration.

They are Md Elias of MB Bricks, Md Selim Liton of SBM Bricks, Abdul Mannan Babul of LRB Bricks and Main Uddin of DMB Bricks. Younus Mia, staff of DMB Bricks, was fined Tk 50,000.
