Suborna Mustafa and Shomi Kaiser for the first time

Besides the field of television, celebrated actors Suborna Mostafa and Shomi Kaiser have made their mark in the world of cinema. They have also acted in many plays in the theatre arena of Dhaka. Although they are peers of one another, these two gifted artistes have not collaborated for a television project till date.

Now, after many years in the industry, the actors will be seen together in Jatra Pother Golpo, an Eid telefilm written by Bodrul Anam Soud and directed by Arif Khan.

The telefilm narrates the story of two women, a writer on her way to a literary conference and a mother stressed out about her son's accident. They cross paths on a train journey. Shomi Kaiser will play the role of the writer, while Suborna Mustafa will be seen as the distraught parent.

Shooting for the telefilm entirely took place on a train that was headed to Chattogram. Suborna Mostafa and Shomi Kaiser are delighted to be working together. The collaboration between these two women will be one to watch out for in the upcoming Eid!
