Srishti Cultural Centre performs in Manila

Bangladeshi dance company Srishti Cultural Centre delivered a well-received performance at the Philippine's capital Manila on February 28, in a cultural programme organised by Asad Alam Siam, Ambassador of Bangladesh to the Philippines.

The event was held at the capital's Shangri La Hotel, which was attended by diplomats and other dignitaries from the Embassy, Foreign Ministry, as well as by local Bangladeshis residing there, says a press release.

The hourlong show by Srishti depicted Bangladeshi folk, classical dance, as well as dances to Tagore's and Kazi Nazrul Islam's songs.

Choreographed and directed by Anisul Islam Hero, the dancers included Sabrina Nisa, Tamim, Brishti, Kajol, Mrittika, Rafid and Durjoy.
