STAR WARS
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, is directed by JJ Abrams from a script by Abrams and Chris Terrio. It is the third and final film in the Star Wars sequel trilogy. The film, produced by Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy, is a continuation of 2015’s The Force Awakens, which Abrams also directed and co-wrote, and 2017’s The Last Jedi. The film stars Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Anthony Daniels, Naomi Ackie, Domhnall Gleeson, Richard E. Grant, Lupita Nyong’o, Keri Russell, Joonas Suotamo, Kelly Marie Tran, with Ian McDiarmid and Billy Dee Williams. Fisher, who passed away in 2016 prior to the film’s production, will appear via unused footage from The Force Awakens.
Bombshell, on the other hand, is directed by Jay Roach and written by Charles Randolph. It features an ensemble cast, including Charlize Theron, Nicole Kidman, Margot Robbie, and John Lithgow, and is based upon several women at Fox News who set out to expose CEO Roger Ailes for sexual harassment. Both films are now showing at Star Cineplex.
