Shahed’s condition improves, transferred to cabin
Popular singer-songwriter Shaikh Shahed Ali Khan has been transferred to the cabin from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Anwer Khan Modern Medical College Hospital in the capital.
The news was confirmed by Ershadul Huq Tinku, Shahed's friend and CEO of Cool Exposure Communications.
"His (Shahed's) physical condition has improved, and he has been able to talk and eat. The doctors have advised him to rest," said Tinku. "We were informed that his situation was due to the loss of essential nutrients in his body."
On September 30, Shahed was rushed to the ICU at the hospital. The doctors initially assumed that it was a stroke; later, the singer was found to have suffered from electrolyte imbalance.
Shahed became famous for his song Rokzana in 2003. After his debut with a self-titled album in 1991, he released Chilekotha (1995), Gaan Neben Gaan (2003) and Class Roomey Boshe Shekha (2008).
