Sanjeeb Choudhury: Still alive in his creations
Even today, when Bappa Mazumder performs with his band Dalchhut, they get requests for the songs written, composed and sung by Sanjeeb Choudhury.
Timeless hits like "Ami Tomakei Bole Debo", "Amake Ondho Kore Diyechhilo Chand" and "Bioscope" have kept Sanjeeb alive in the hearts of music lovers throughout the years.
13 years ago on this day, the talented singer, songwriter and journalist left us. He was the founder and frontman of Dalchhut, which saw immense popularity because of his talent and chemistry with Bappa Mazumder.
Together, Bappa and Sanjeeb crafted several hit albums, which included 'Ahh' (1997), 'Hridoypur' (2000), 'Akashchuri' (2002), and 'Jochhona Bihar' (2007).
Born in December 25, 1964 in Makalkandi, Baniachang upazila of Habiganj, Sanjeeb was the seventh child out of nine children to parents Gopal Choudhury and Pravashini Choudhury.
He studied in Habiganj Government High School until the eight grade. After that, he shifted to Dhaka and continued his education at Nabakumar Institute in Bakshibazar. In 1978, he earned 12th position in Secondary School Certificate exam.
In 1980, in Higher Secondary board exams from Dhaka College he was in the merit list once again.
Although he got a chance in the Mathematics department at University of Dhaka, he graduated in Mass Communication and Journalism.
