Samarjit Roy’s ‘Tuptup Brishti’ drops
Channeling the serenity of monsoon, Samarjit Roy's new song Tuptup Brishti was released online under the label of Dhruba Music Station recently. The song, composed by the singer himself, is written by noted poet and journalist Al-Masum.
"Tuptup Brishty is a very simple yet sweet song which conveys the essence of monsoon in a very delicate manner," mentions Samarjit Roy. "I have been staying at my residence in Cox's Bazar for over 8 months now and here, I only have my harmonium. We recorded the whole song through an online collaboration."
The number has been programmed by Ranodeep Manu from India, and the mixing and mastering is done by JK Majlish. Ajoy Majumder is the recordist of this track, while Robin Chowdhury the cinematography of the video.
"I have always wished to pair up my words with soothing melodies and luckily, my very first song as a lyricist has fulfilled my dream," shares Al-Masum, who also works as a senior reporter at The Daily Star. "I feel very privileged that Samarjit Roy has has voiced my words."
