Painting for COVID-19 awareness
A group of youths took an initiative to paint roads and important places in Pabna's Chatmohar Upazila headquarter with messages to raise awareness on COVID-19 prevention.
Chetonay Chatmohar, a youth organisation, took the initiative to paint important roads and key points of the area. Young artists, most of whom are schoolgoers, joined together to paint at Jardis More, a key point in Chatmohor, recently. Several other volunteer organisations also joined the programme, taking necessary precautions. 'Keep social distance', 'Wear masks' and many other slogans were written on roads, along with paintings.
"We have to continue with our regular lives, but many are reluctant to wear masks and follow the general guidelines. For the sake of our safety, we all need to be cautious and follow the rules and regulations," says Jeman Asad, Admin Head of the organisation.
"As we carry on with our regular lives, we hope the paintings and messages will remind us about following and maintaining proper hygiene and social distancing regulations," adds painter Manik Das, a key organiser of the programme.
