Painter Mohammad Shoaib’s art exhibition in Paris
Mohammad Shoaib, one of the leading painters in the cinema banner painting industry in Bangladesh, recently produced a large-scale painting, titled Jhorer Pakhi (Stormy Bird), in cooperation with Jothashilpa, a centre for traditional and contemporary arts in Bangladesh. The painting, acrylic on a 16X10 feet canvas, is currently on display at the exhibition titled ‘City Prince/sses’ which commenced on June 21 and will run till September 9 at Palais de Tokyo in Paris. The exhibition, focusing on the cities -- Dhaka, Lagos, Manila, Mexico City and Tehran, is curated by Hugo Vitrani, along with associate curator Fabien Danesi.
