Nazrul Shongeet workshops by BNSS underway
A series of workshops on Nazrul Shongeet, organised by Bangladesh Nazrul Shongeet Shongstha (BNSS) is currently underway. The series was initially inaugurated in four districts of the Sylhet division.
The online workshop sessions are arranged to serve students both home and abroad. A large group of students from India, hailing mainly from areas of West Bengal, Delhi, Tripura, Durgapur, and Assam have joined the workshops alongside the locals. The are also looking forward to arrange similar workshops for interested individuals from England, Canada, America, and Australia.
Currently, art departments of various districts are hosting these workshop sessions at divisional levels. Till now, participants from the hosting district and others have been in attendance.
The sessions are being conducted by reputed artistes of BNSS, including Joseph Komol Rodrigues, president, BNSS, Khairul Anam Shakil, general secretary, BNSS, and Vice-precidant, Chhayanaut, Yakub Ali Khan, vice-president, BNSS, Karim Hasan Khan, treasurer, BNSS, Salahuddin Ahmed, joint-secretary, BNSS, Sharmin Sathi Islam, joint-secretary, BNSS and lecturer, Chhayanaut, Selina Hossain, executive member and lecturer, Chhayanaut, Mahmudul Hasan, organisational secretary, BNSS and assistant professor, music department, Jagannath University, Kalpana Anam, training affairs secretary, BNSS and lecturer, Chhayanaut, Bijon Chandra Mistry, publicity editor and lecturer, Chhayanaut, Nasima Shaheen Fancy, executive member, BNSS and lecturer, Chhayanaut, Sumon Majumder executive member, BNSS, and lecturer, Chhayanaut, Rezaul Karim, executive member, BNSS and lecturer, Chhayanaut and Afroza Khan Mita, regional director of archaeology department in Khulna and Barishal.
Registration for the workshops are open for all interested candidates however, seats are limited. This workshop series will conclude on December 14, 2020.
