King Kortobbyo’s online art exhibition ‘Bekar Idea’ underway
The online art exhibition, Bekar Idea, featuring 43 artworks by 23 young and emerging artists is currently underway. It is organised by King Kortobbyo, in collaboration with EMK Center. Established in 2018, the main purpose of the King Kortobbyo is to create works of art on contemporary issues. People can check out the exhibition from King Kortobbyo's Facebook and Instagram pages.
"The artists have come up with many ideas, using mundane, unemployed objects that are lying around in their houses," said Mehedi Hasan, the main organiser of the exhibition, which features paintings, installations, photographs, videos, mixed media artworks and digital artworks.
The participating artists of the exhibition include Al Nasir Sabuz, Anika Roy, Ar Tamxid, Arzina Ahasan, Dolon Kundu, Jinnatun Jannat, Mreethmandir Roy, N Zaman Babu, Rabiul Hossain Rudro, Rakib Anwar, Rameez Shahi, Redwan Ahmed Araf, Sadia Arifin Shanta, Sarah Jabin, Shabnam Shuva, Tania Rahman Roshney, Tarana Halim, PIjush Talukdar, Azizee Fawmi Khan, Mehedi Hasan, Aparazita Rahman, and Mahbubul Islam Tahsin. The exhibited works are inspired by everyday life through which the participating artists challenge traditional art practices. The exhibition will conclude on August 10.
