Kabori returns to shooting after five months
Sarah Kabori, the actor who dominated the silver screen in the 60's and 70's, is currently working on her second film as a director. The production of the project, titled Ei Tumi Shei Tumi, was in the works since March. Unfortunately, the shooting was postponed after two days, because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
After a break of five months, Kabori and her team is shooting again. Starting from today, the shoot will continue in different locations of Dhaka for the next seven days.
Kabori made her mark as a director with the film Ayna in 2005. After fourteen years, the actor turned director returned to the set, having written the story, screenplay and dialogue herself.
After four decades, the duo Kabori and Sohel Rana will be seen together on the silver screen again. Newcomers Riyad Rayhan and Nishat Nawar Salwa are also making their acting debut in the movie.
The government-funded film captures the tale of two time periods- the Liberation War and the modern era. The songs of this Ei Tumi Shei Tumi will be tuned and composed by legendary singer Sabina Yasmin. This is her first attempt at music direction in a film.
