Prominent singer-songwriter Kabir Suman will be singing in the Rashid Palash directorial Pritilata.
The film, which features Pori Moni as iconic revolutionary Pritilata Waddedar, is scripted by noted lyricist Golam Rabbani.
The timeless song, Ekbar Biday De Maa Ghure Ashi, Hashi Hashi Porbo Phashi, Dekhbe Bharot Bashi, originally written and composed by folk artiste Pitambar Das, was sung by melody queen Lata Mangeshkar.The song was first used in the film Shubhash Chandra (1966).
A beautiful rendition of this song will be sung by Kabir Sumon in Pritilata.
In a video message, the singer talked about working in the film. "Few days ago, Rashid Palash from Bangladesh, told me over the phone that they are making a film on Pritilata Waddedar," he shares. "He requested me to lend my voice to this timeless song. I am proud to be a part of this film, and I convey my best wishes to the entire team."
The film, Pritilata, under the banner of UFORC, is expected to begin shooting from November 1.
