Group art exhibition underway marking Galleri Kaya’s 16th anniversary
Celebrating the 16th anniversary of Galleri Kaya, an exclusive group exhibition by 42 modern and contemporary artists from Bangladesh and India, is underway at their premises in Uttara, Dhaka. The inaugural ceremony of the exhibition took place on July 25.
The featured artists at the event are Abdus Shakoor Shah, Aditya Basak, Ahmed Shamsuddoha, Aminul Islam, Anisuzzaman, Ashraful Hasan, Atin Basak, Azharul Islam Chanchal, Bishwajit Goswami, Chandra Bhattacharjee, Chandra Shekhar Dey, Debdas Chakraborty, Fareha Zeba, Goutam Chakraborty, Hamiduzzaman Khan, Hashem Khan, Jamal Ahmed, Jayanta Naskar, Jogen Chowdhury, Kalidas Karmakar, Kamaluddin, Kanak Chanpa Chakma, Kazi Rakib, Masuda Kazi, Mohammad Eunus, Mohammad Iqbal, Monirul Islam, Mukul Kumar Barai, Murtaja Baseer, Nagarbasi Barman, Nazlee Laila Mansur, Rafiqun Nabi, Ranjit Das, Ratan Mojumder, Samarjit Roy Choudhury, Sanat Kar, Shahabuddin Ahmed, Shahanoor Mamun, Sheikh Afzal Hossain, Shishir Bhattacharjee, Shohag Parvez and Wakilur Rahman.
Organised by Galleri Kaya, the exhibition showcases a selected total of 105 artworks completed in diverse media, including acrylic, oil, watercolor, ink, charcoal, ceramic, bronze, pastel pencil and mixed media on paper and canvas.
All artists from both nations completed the artworks between 1954 and 2020. The exhibition will remain open daily from 11 am to 7:30 pm till August 22. ADN Group has sponsored the event.
