George RR Martin signs five-year deal for more HBO projects
After the tremendous success of HBO's adaptations of his books, Game of Thrones author George RR Martin has signed a deal to develop several television series for HBO and its streaming platform, HBO Max.
Hollywood Reporter has recently reported that the has signed a contract "worth mid-eight figures", spanning five years.
Martin is currently involved in five projects for HBO, including House of the Dragon, a prequel set 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones. The show will focus on House Targaryen, the powerful dynasty that once ruled Westeros. The series, which consists of 10 episodes, is set to start production next month.
