Gems of Nazrul’s 9th production in the offing

Gems of Nazrul, an initiative to portray National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam’s musical genius in new light and popularise his spirited songs, will release their ninth music video on August 27, the poet’s death anniversary on Channel i. This production will be dedicated to Suur Samraggni Firoza Begum, one of the legendary musicians of the sub-continent. The devotional song, Onadikal Hotey Onontolok Gahey Tomari Joy will be rendered with the initiative’s signature brilliance.

35 prominent and popular artistes will be seen featured in the video, joined by noted composer, singer and lyricist, Md Asaf Uddowlah. The programme has been conceptualised and directed by Nazrul Awardee and exponent of Nazrul songs Sadya Afreen Mallick, Chief Culture initiatives, the Daily Star, and sponsored by ACI Foundation.
