Farooque discharged from hospital
National Film Award-winning actor and member of Parliament Farooque was recently diagnosed with tuberculosis, commonly known as TB. He was admitted to Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore, for treatment. Farooque was taken to Singapore on September 13. His wife Farhana Farooque accompanied him. After arriving at the hospital, both of them were quarantined for 14 days.
Now, the actor, along with his wife, has moved to a hotel, after discussions with the hospital authorities. "He is still very weak physically," Zayed Khan, General Secretary, Bangladesh Cholochitro Shilpi Samity, told The Daily Star. "Although he is staying at a hotel now, he will be going to the hospital for a follow-up in a couple days."
He was admitted to United Hospital and Evercare Hospital in Dhaka, before being taken to Singapore for further treatment.
