Continuous rain disrupts shooting schedules
The Vadun village in Gazipur's Pubail, widely known as the shooting village, has more than twenty well known shooting houses. Recently, due to the continuous rainfall for the last couple of days, several shooting houses had to postpone their shooting schedules.
Musa Mia, Manager at Hasnahena Shooting House, Harun Sardar, owner of Haruner Bari Shooting House and Badsha, owner of Badsha Bhai's Shooting House confirmed the news to The Daily Star.
Directed by S M Shahin, the tele-fiction, "Madhupur," had to pack up shooting, due to the rain. The shooting of this project started yesterday at one of the shooting houses with actors Fazlur Rahman Babu, Faruk Ahmed, Nadia Ahmed, Nadia Mim and Tarique Swapan among others. The shooting house belongs to actors Mosharraf Karim, Shamim Zaman and A K M Hasan.
Only a few scenes were shot yesterday. Later due to the continuous rain, the shooting had to be stopped. Though the shooting was scheduled for some more days, the director decided to pack up the shoot for now.
"Budget for TV projects has been decreasing significantly as it is. Due to the rain, more damage is now evident," shares director S M Shahin. "We have to work on a new schedule to resume shooting again."
"We were left with no choice because of the weather. We had to pack up the shoot," added Fazlur Rahman Babu.
Apart from shooting in the Vadun village, director Sarder Rokon was shooting a single episode show in Rupganj yesterday, featuring Shaju Khadem. "Due to the heavy rain, we could not finish even half of our scenes," shared the actor.
