Comedy star Dildar’s birth anniversary today

Dildar first came into the limelight with his debut film, "Keno Emon Hoy" in 1972, since then the artiste had an illustrious career in the film industry.

Born on February 13, 1945, in Chandpur, Dildar passes away on July 13, 2003.

Dildar's popularity has made him a household favourite during his career and he was once widely present in most of the new films in the 80s. His skilled comedic portrayals also had a powerful effect on the audience.

Among the popular comedy stars in the film industry, Dildar's presence was the most noticeable.

Dildar won the National Film Award for his role in the film, "Tumi Shudhu Amar" among many other accolades. Dildar also made an appearance in a lead role for the film, "Abdullah" and was widely praised for his portrayal. Dildar starred alongside the late Salman Shah in several films.

"Beder Meye Jochna", "Chawa Theke Pawa", "Ontore Ontore", "Konyadan", "Garial Bhai", "Ochin Desher Rajkumar", "Prem Jamuna", and "Bashiwala" among others are his notable films.

Dildar made a strong presence in films of several genres- social, folk, romantic and action among others and his talent as an actor is still widely appreciated today.
