Children of Bodom frontman Alexi Laiho dies at 41

Alexi Laiho, former guitarist and vocalist of Finnish death metal band Children of Bodom, passed away 41 after struggling with "long-term health issues," announced his bandmates.

Laiho died in his residence in Helsinki, Finland last week, according to an announcement posted on the band's website.

Children of Bodom disbanded in late 2019, after first performing in 1993 under the name "Inearthed". Laiho and former band member Daniel Freyberg had made a new group, Bodom After Midnight.

The artiste was regarded as one of the greatest guitarists of his generation.
