Do you head to the kitchen yourself to make iftar?
Samina: Usually an hour before iftar. I love cooking a wide variety of iftar.
Any change in your iftar menu this time around?
Samina: Last year, I chose to cook exotic delicacies, but this time such dishes are rarely seen on my iftar table. We tried out a few chicken-based recipes though, which everyone enjoyed.
Do you enjoy going out for sehri?
Samina: Usually, I don't, but I did join a sehri party this year. I am more comfortable eating sehri at home.
What are your views on Ramadan?
Samina: During the month of fasting we should be more disciplined and refrain from violence, anger, envy, greed and lust. We should also make an effort to get along better with each other.
