Rituparna Sengupta to play an attorney in 'Jam'

Indian film actor Rituparna Sengupta has been active in the film industry of Bangladesh for several years, alongside being a popular name in Bengali and Hindi cinema. She has been a part of a multitude of hit Bangla films, including the massively successful Ekti Cinemar Golpo, directed by actor Alamgir. Now, Sengupta will be seen in Noyeem Imtiaz Neamul's Jam, where she will essay the role of an attorney. The film will be produced under the banner of Manna's production house, Kritanjali Kothachitra.

Jam is inspired by the works of Bangladeshi film journalist Ahmed Zaman Choudhury. The script of the film is done by Pantha Shahriar.  Actor Purnima has also joined the cast of the film.

A press conference about Jam will be held today at Dhaka Club. Current Minister of Road Transport and Bridges, Obaidul Qader will attend the conference as the chief guest, while State Minister of Information Tarana Halim is scheduled as a special guest.
