Club for UNESCO of Piraeus and Island arranged the first International Action Art Fair at Chalkida in Evia Island, Greece. Several Bangladeshi painters and artists from other countries attended the fair held last month. Club for UNESCO invited well-known Bangladeshi artists -- Shamim Subrana, Afroza Jamil Konka, Dilruba Latif, Shohana Shahreen, Fahmida Khatun, Maksuda Iqbal Nipa, Bipasha Hayat and Nazia Andalib Preema to participate in the art fair.
Artists portrayed artworks following their own styles with their favourite forms and colours. They depicted the nature and ambience of Greece.
Ambassador of Bangladesh in Greece Md. Jashim Uddin, Piraeus Turkish Consul General in Greece Oya Yazar and Ioannis Maronitis attended the occasion as honourable guests. The participating artists visited many historical places in Greece.
