Eksho Bosta Chal to be staged today

“Eksho Bosta Chal”, a joint theatrical production of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) and the Japanese Embassy in Dhaka, will be staged at the National Theatre Hall of BSA this evening.

An adaptation of a play by Yuzo Yamamoto, the play -- directed by Golam Sarwar, is based on a true story that occurred in Japan about 140 years ago, set against the backdrop of the transitional period of 'Shogunate era' to 'Meiji' resurrection.

The play has been staged 69 times so far at various venues across the country, and has received two international prizes. Theatre artistes from a number of troupes comprise the cast of the play, including Faiz Zahir, Junayed Yusuf Setu, Golam Shahriar Shikto and Pia.
