“Baagh O Naari” at Kolkata Int'l Wildlife and Environment Film Fest

The second Kolkata International Wildlife and Environment Film Festival took off on December 2 and ran till December 4, says a press release. The festival, which receives film entries each year, promotes the conservation of wildlife species and their natural habitats. This year, Bangladeshi filmmaker Shahiduzzaman Badal submitted the documentary film “Baagh o Naari”, on special invitation, which outlines the parallel lives of widows and tigers in the Sunderbans, and how they raise their families. The 15-minute documentary was produced by Dhaka Photographic Institute and will be screened at 10 locations around Kolkata, including Nandan.
