Alleged killer of schoolboy Siam arrested in Bogra
Police arrested the alleged killer of 7-year-old schoolboy Shahriar Nafiz Siam Hossain from Puran Bogra area of the town Monday night.
The arrestee was identified as Al- Amin Hossain Shohag, 19, son of a mason Anwar Hossain of Bagbari area under Gabtoli upazila in the district town and an employee at Hasan Jute Mills Limited in the town.
Police said, after the abduction on May 17, the father of the boy filed a case with Sadar police station in the evening.
Later, police, with the held of locals, recovered the body of the boy from inside a sack in a ditch in Puran Bogra area of the town.
On Monday night, on the basis of the cell phone call list and other clues police detained 5 people including main accused Shohag.
Shohag confessed before journalists that he tactfully abducted Siam from Shantahar-Bogra rail route area in Puran Bogra area on Saturday and took him to his room, hacked the boy to death and threw the body into the ditch at night. He also demanded Tk 3 lakh ransom from the family of the boy.
Yesterday, student and teachers of Power Development Board (PDB) Govt Primary School of Bogra town formed a human chain at Shatmatha-Tinmatha road of the town demanding exemplary punishment to the killer.
