Admission test results of medical and dental colleges in the country were published yesterday with a pass rate of 34 percent.

Out of 66,987 examinees, 22,759 passed the written tests held for a total of 10,299 seats available in 29 government and 56 private medical colleges, and nine government and 23 private dental institutions, said Zahid Maleque, state minister for health and family welfare ministry, at a press briefing at the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The results will be available on DGHS's website. The successful candidates  will also be notified via SMS at their contact numbers.

Admission procedures will take place between October 30 and November 15.

Classes for the 2014-15 academic session of MBBS and BDS courses will begin on January 10, he added.
